I'm working toward a graduate degree in Chemical Engineering at New York University's Polytechnic School of Engineering. As a tutor, I work with students to develop comprehension of complex material and to do better on exams. I value communication with my students, and I often will ask them to explain their working approaches. This allows me to better understand where they may be going wrong in their process. It's, of course, always important to find the correct solution to a problem. My work and study has shown me, though, that process, analysis, and critical thinking are equally as important, and they are often more useful because they help us in all areas of life. My experience in engineering and sciences has granted me a wide range of expertise. I can work with students in a variety of Mathematics and Science courses, including multiple levels of Algebra, Calculus, Differential Equations, Geometry, Statistics, Finite Math, Competition Math, Genetics, and Physics. I'm also great at helping students prepare for tests, including the GRE, PSAT (Critical Reading, Math), SAT (Math, Verbal, Critical Reading), ACT (Writing, Science, Reading, Math, English), and AP exams (Calculus AB/BC, Statistics). I'm currently located in Bellmore, New York. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, track, and soccer.
