I am a licensed social worker in NY, which has provided me the tools to help keep my students focused and motivated in the tutoring session. As a tutor, I focus the session on the needs of my student and their goals. I listen to my students and adjust my teaching methods as needed to match their learning style. I personally love to learn, and I think learning is one of the best gifts that we can receive.I have teaching experience in several capacities. I have taught young children to read, college student to write essays, English and Spanish as a second language, and life management skills. I tutor English, ESL/ELL, math, public speaking, social sciences, and all levels of Spanish. I have attended The Art Institute of Philadelphia and Stony Brook University. I am currently learning German and continuing to practice my Spanish. I enjoy drawing, playing Ultimate Frisbee, and reading. I would be honored to accompany a student on their academic journey.
